Bishop Tyrone L. Seals is not just a preacher, but a singer, a teacher, musician, CEO, and Owner of Heritage Mortuary Inc. He is God’s visionary and founder of the New Birth Baptist Assembly. New Birth is an organization that seeks to encourage its members to participate in “The Great Commission” …Go therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit!
His commission is to preach life and proclaim the acceptable year of the Lord to the hurting, depressed, and confused. Showing them the love of Christ and His acceptance, hope, and helps.
It is Bishop’s vision to share the Gospel of Jesus Christ with hundreds of thousands of residents of Southern Nevadans, and then to the utter most parts of the world. New Birth’s mission is to welcome all races of people together to form one family, equipping every believer to further advance the Kingdom of God.
Bishop Seals is a native of Las Vegas, Nevada. At the early age of six, he accepted Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior. Later that year, he preached his first message. He received his fundamental education from the American Baptist Theological Seminary Extension in Las Vegas, Nevada. From 1979 to 1981, he served as Pastor of 1st Baptist Church of Flagstaff, Arizona. Then from 1984 to 1986, he served as the Pastor of New Zion Baptist Church of Ogden, Utah. In 1986, led by God, he founded Metropolitan Intuitional Baptist Church in Las Vegas, Nevada. One night after God had spoken to him concerning a name change for the church. He heeded the called and in 2001, Metropolitan changed its name to New Birth Baptist Assembly where he currently serves as Senior Pastor. Continuing his education in 2015, he attended the African American Joint College of Bishops located in Cleveland, Ohio. In 2016, he was the 2nd Vice President of the Nevada/California Interstate Missionary Baptist Convention for a term of three years. Bishop is devoted to the convention and continues to serve as the Vice President at Large.
In 2001, Bishop Seals married the former Larnique Mickens of West Palm Beach, Florida. His wife, Larnique is a retired Air Force Veteran with 24 Years of serve and they are the proud parents of a blended family of seven children.
Bishop Seals has achieved many triumphs on local, national and international levels.
He is the former General Secretary of the Nevada/California Interstate Baptist Convention. He served as a board member on the University of Nevada Cooperate Extension promoting healthy lifestyles. He was a member of the Father’s House under the leadership of Late Bishop Eddie L. Long Ministries in Lithonia, Georgia. He is a board member of the MICTAN AIDS Foundation that educations people all over the world about prevention and detection of AIDS.
A few of his recent highlights include: In 2004, Bishop Seals received the community Service Award from Major Oscar Goodman of Las Vegas, Nevada. In 2008, he was honored by the Air Force Sergeants Association at Nellis Air Force Base for his avid commitment to grow of future leaders and community sponsorship. In 2012, he received an accommodation from the city of Las Vegas for all his great leadership and community efforts. In 2014, he received a Proclamation from Governor Brain Sandoval. In 2017, he received the Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Award of Honor from the Black Music Award. In 2019, he was awarded the Lifetime Achievement Award from the Nevada/California Interstate Missionary Baptist Convention. In 2019, he received the Community Trailblazer Award from the Christ Society Group. He wrote and song, “Bread of Heaven” with the Gospel Group, New Edition. Lastly, he is featured on Frederick Westbrook’s “The Last Chapter” album. Nevada State's Treasurer Offfice seclection for 2022's Black History Month Business-Owner Spotlight for Execellence Service. The Best of Las Vegas Funeral Home winner two years in a row: 2021 and 2022.
